Although some of our guest rooms have been renovated, they were basically built in the late Edo period (1800s). Among those who have been documented to have stayed at the hotel are Ogata Koan, the founder of modern medicine in Japan during the Edo period, and Rosanjin, an indispensable figure in Japanese ceramics and food culture, as well as many writers. The atmosphere at that time still remains today.
