Yunotsu Onsen Hot Spring and Iwami Ginzan in Oda City, Shimane Prefecture are the World Heritage Site. Yunotsu Onsen Hot Spring is located near Yunotsu port which prospered in the 17th and 18th centuries. There are two public baths, Moto-yu which is said to be found by a Japanese raccoon, and Shin-yu (Yakushi-yu) found in the earthquake. The hot spring is high-quality and free-flowing. The bathtub is small so that the amount of hot water is not so big. It is the closest hot spring to Iwami Ginzan. Yunotsu is also a rare town that it is the only hot spring included in the World Heritage Site.
Iwami Ginzan, where the townscape including the mining sites of silver was registered as a World Heritage Site. Iwami Ginzan was the only known to Europeans as a Japanese silver mine in the 16th century of the Age of Discovery. During the heyday of the middle of the 16th century and the first half of the 17th century, it is said that Iwami Ginzan accounted for about one-third of the world's silver production.
