Onsaka-no-Ie

Onsaka-no-Ie is a whole house rent inn located in the mountain side of the aesthetic area in Kurashiki Honmachi. This inn sits on the hillside of Mt. Tsurugata which is located east of a busy aesthetic area.

It is a regenerated old traditional Japanese house and rebuilt to for a comfortable stay. The Japanese-style room has a veranda and a big window. There is a set of dining table by the Japanese-style room and a small kitchen near the window. A bath room is at the back of there. The room appears sunny and spacious because of the sunlight from the wide window facing south.

Furniture and tableware made by the creators in connection with Kurashiki and Okayama add warmth to this rent house. Expendables like bath amenities are Eco-friendly and natural, so you can use them in relief. That kind of hospitality will make your stay in Kurashiki comfortable.

This inn is operated by NPO Corporation called "Kurashiki Machiya Trust". It consists of local people and members who work together to regenerate old town houses. These volunteers have helped renovating the building of the inn. The aesthetic area seems a busy tourist zone, but there are some empty houses inside the area. They hope the guests to stay at the aesthetic area as living there and feel close to the town.

From Onsaka-no-Ie, you can see a row of houses and daily scenery of Kurashiki. You can also enjoy the town of Kurashiki with your own eyes as you rent a house there.
