Ryotei ryokan by Onomichi Channel

Ryotei ryokan, Uonobu, stands facing Onomichi Channel. It is located away from Onomichi Station surrounded by silence and very Onomichi like scenery of the shore.
The attractiveness of Uonobu is the building and the dishes. The building is Ukiyazukuri and it includes the parts that were built in Meiji era, and the fine decorations. It is very classy Japanese style with a prestigious look. From the guest room windows, the guest can see the ships come and go on Onomichi Channel and hear the sound of the waves.
The dishes are Kyoto style kaiseki and mainly use fishes from Onomichi. As they call themselves "ryotei", their dishes are not only great in the taste but also entertain you with how they are arranged authentically. The dishes come out one by one to serve as fresh as possible.
Uonobu limits the number of reservation they take a day so that the guest are able to spend their quality time fully and calmly.
"Ryokan is a part of Japanese culture" says the host. Protecting Onomichi's cultural assets, the building and the taste, the host makes efforts to make his ryotei ryokan welcome to every guest (whereas traditional ryotei do not welcome first timers.) while keeping their service and quality of high tastes and standards.
