Hotel Innoshima

Hotel Innoshima stands on the hill where the guests can over look dockyards and islands of Shimanami Kaido.It is unique because the hotel is in the Setonaikai National Park. When it was renewed in December 2010, there were 3 concepts to follow.
The first concept was to up grade facilities while maintaining the reasonable prices. For example, there are 2 types of guest rooms, Japanese and Western style rooms so that guests can choose based on their preference, way to use, and number of guest staying. All the rooms have en-suite toilets and washbowls. The guest can enjoy the view of the beautiful islands in the Seto Inland Sea.
The second concept is to add a nice banquet room and a conference room as Innoshima has a lot of ship-building business. Upgrades have been made to not only the facilities, but also with the dishes they serve. To do so with the dishes, they hired a Japanese chef, a Sushi master, and a French chef so that they are able to provide Kaiseki dishes with Japanese and Western essence.
The third concept is to install new bathing room, where local people will have a place to gather. It is built in a position that allows to the guests see the Seto Inland Sea while enjoying a nice relaxing hot bath. The bathroom has sauna and water bath. It is not natural hot spring but taking a bath with such a great view is one of the great benefits of staying at this hotel. Looking at facilities, it appears to be a sophisticated hotel in the city, but is in fact in the gentle atmosphere of the island. A beautiful sunset, the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, and the warm approach by staff make the guests feel they are indeed on the island where they can spend a day or more at a nice and slow pace.
