Guest House Nara

Only quite old people in the local area know that there used to be a high-class Japanese style hotel. The current owner was fascinated by the building which was constructed 100 years ago and refurbished it as a guest house. The broad corridor and the high ceiling are full of grace. It was refurbished as "the pure Japanese-style house" which remains the feature of the original building. There is even a real tea-ceremony room. The owner who can speak English opened this guest house in 2017, "offer a relaxing Japanese space" as a theme. She hopes that foreign guests to know the real Japanese culture.

The owner named this inn "Nara" (Chinese character means 'country') because she wants to have a relationship with people of different nations. She says, "Relations between nations are no easy matter, but individual relationship can cross the border. I will treat my guests as the representative of Japan". She try not to interfere with the guest too much in order to keep an appropriate distance from them and show her hospitality, "omotenashi".

The Miyajimaguchi Station has a good access to transportation. It is ten minutes to get to Miyajima and thirty minutes to get to the center of Hiroshima city and Kintaikyo in Iwakuni by public transportation. It is convenient for a continuous stay in this area. This is the inn where you can casually enjoy the real Japanese culture as the entrance of "Miyajima", one of the tourist areas representing Japan.
