Oyado Tsukiusagi

A small bed-without-meals inn located in front of Miyajima Pier.

After arriving at Miyajima by boat, the flow of people moves on from Miyajima Pier to the approach of Kaigan-dori. This inn "Oyado Tsukiusagi" is a small two-story inn located in front of the square of the pier. There is a restaurant on the first floor, and there are 3 guest rooms on the second floor.

There are classic sofas made by a domestic furniture maker in the lobby and front desk. The chic interior adopting the Japanese traditional design provide a feeling of cleanliness. Sofa, paintings and Japanese-style design which have been left from the former inn add a good mood there. The owner used the word "usage" (means a rabbit) as the name of this inn because a rabbit is the zodiac sign representing the year of her birth and she loves the motif of a rabbit. The intention to keep good things and her sophisticated taste impart a soft atmosphere to the facilities.

Guest rooms are compact and relaxed Japanese-style rooms. From the room on the side of the pier, you can see the tourists walking around the marine. They have private facilities, so you can enjoy your comfortable stay.

The current owner was entrusted this building by her father's friend who had been running a cafe and inn in this place. In order to utilize the building, she opened this inn thanks to the advice of the local people of Miyajima around her. She would like the guests to enjoy a casual and relaxed stay, and her thought can be felt from subtle points in the facilities such as flower arrangements or tea service.

Though there is no meal service, the accommodation fee is reasonable for its facilities. You can make here the base for enjoying Miyajima freely. We can recommend you a good place to eat.
