Yoshinoso Yukawaya

Monk Saigyo who became tired of life and entered the priesthood loved cherry blossoms of Mt. Yoshino as a poet. He lived to be seventy-three, a very long time for his time. One of the reason for his long life is said to be Saigyo-nabe that he concocted recipes as his vigor when he built a hermitage and lived in Mt. Yoshino. Saigyo-nabe is a pot dish of fresh seasonal vegetables and chicken in a special soup with a rich flavor provided by Yoshino arrowroot. Please enjoy your meal.
