Daichoso

Beauty of Kurushima Strait and taste of the Seto Inland Sea.

Daichoso is located near Itozaki Park/Kurushima Observatory in the Seto Inland Sea National Park where the guests can look down of Kurushima Strait, the starting point of Shimanami Kaido at Shikoku side. Daichoso provides fresh and delicious dishes while enjoying the impressive scenery of Kurushima Strait.
It has been a restaurant before and when it was re-built in 2008, Daichoso also started to accommodate business travelers. "I have not gotten used to accommodating business travelers and I am still learning" says the host in modesty. He believes what that guests are pleased most by the view and the dishes. No big common bathroom but each room has a bath room that is as large as prestigious hotel bathroom.
Daichoso has been a popular restaurant so that not only tourists but also many locals come here to enjoy meals. This would give the guests the confidence on their dishes. The guests would enjoy the dish which is full of the seafood from Kurushima Strait, and the beautiful view would add more tastiness to the dishes.
The inn stands at a high place and the view of the Seto Inland Sea from there is the best characteristic of all. The movements of currents and the colors of islands change over time and the guests would not get bored of looking at it.
Every room has a good view but the only rooms with the view of Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridge are the Twin rooms. In other rooms (Japanese room/Western style 4 beds room), the guests can see ships crossing Kurushima Strait and the beautiful view of many islands.
Kurushima Strait, which the guests can see during your stay, is one of the three fast current strait, together with Naruto Strait and Kanmon Strait. There is a cruise ship that tourists can experience the fast current departs from Michinoeki-Yoshiumi on Oshima (go over the Kurushima-Kaikyo bridge). Why don't you try it?
